Eudora Welty letters, 1943, 1989.

The collection contains a photograph of a letter from William Faulkner to Welty, [1943] April 27, praising her work and asking about her background. With the photograph is a letter from Welty to Nancy Farley, 1943 May 16, discussing the weather and gardening; inquiring about "John's" assignment, "Joe" and "M.F."; enclosing the Faulkner letter; and mentioning her whistling wine jug. The collection also contains a letter to Edmund Berkeley, Jr., 1989 November 28, thanking him for returning the Faulkner letter which she has cherished and discussing it's history.
